GIBLIN served as Chairman of the Board of Blue Cross Blue Shield (Horizon of New Jersey), for fifteen (15) years. Dept of Labor reports for 5 of those years, 2004 thru 2008 inclusive, GIBLIN reported on DOL form LM-30 [use filer number 05710] that he received a total of $947,350.16 in compensation. What's an LM-30 form? "The purpose of the form, among others, is to identify potential conflicts of interest between the labor organization officials and their labor organization".
During the same 15 years, GIBLIN served in various (full-time?) IUOE capacities including General President, General Secretary-Treasurer and Local 68 Business Manager. If Local 68, Operating Engineers sounds familiar, read about another GIBLIN, Dennis Giblin, in "Union Leader Arrested", also on tellfred.com.
Pop the cork on the $275,000 bottle of 1907 Heidsieck - 'cause during the same five (5) year period, GIBLIN claimed $1,840,178 in total compensation from the International Union of Operating Engineers - DOL LM-2 [file number 000-159].
So, the 5 year total is..... $2,787,528.16 of reported compensation. What the @%$*&! I need a nap just so I can dream about popping the top of bottle of soda.

wow now i understand why we are going with an insurane provider that will raise our premium by 17.2% its so we can cover the cost of their future chairman could it be a local union leader ?? what would be the odds ?
17.2% per www.biztimes.com/daily/2010/2/25
perhaps if the members decided the pay structure for union officers and weather something was a conflict of interest or not unions these days would be here for the members not for their ultimate profit
remember brothers and sisters you pay for these people to help in our carrers not to line their own pockets this is sickening
keep it up tellfred pull the wool from the members eyes good work!
these gentlemen should be ashamed along with some others
Where do I sign up for this part-time job?????I wont make that kind of money in my lifetime, let alone five years.
Seems funny to me that A Union General President sits on the board of a insurance company of which his members are a part of????? A little better rate for some compensation??? Anthem Blue Cross just announced they are increasing their rates in Wisconsin 17.2% starting 4/1/2010,who's making money not the insured that's for sure, but the rich get richer. This has to change.
